Overview: In this course, you will acquire advanced skills in understanding and using geographic information Systems (GIS). The course addresses ‘spatial problem solving’ by focusing on both the theoretical / conceptual and practical aspects of GIS data and spatial analysis. Students learn how to prepare and integrated spatial data into their advanced analysis workflows, visualise the data using cartographic techniques as well as identify and interpret spatial patterns.

Prerequisites and recommendations:
