GISSA Eastern Cape hosted a Land and Municipal Revenue Enhancement Discussion Workshop on 22 August 2024.
One of the main challenges in the Eastern Cape is revenue enhancement at Municipal level. One of the main reasons is the lack of land ownership, tenure upgrade and RDP beneficiaries without title deeds.
The workshop discussion looked at existing challenges and also how these matters can be resolved within the fiscal constraints facing local government.
This was a hybrid event, with limited space for attendees, therefore, the speakers were hosted at a venue in East London.
