XIII Annual GISSA Free State ConferenceIt is with great pleasure that we invite you to the XIII Annual GISSA Free State Conference to be held in Bloemfontein (Bains Game Lodge, www.bainsgamelodge.co.za) on 27/28 October 2011 with the theme “analyze your world”.
GIS has established itself as a management system as well as a tool in unlocking the secrets of business, environment, governmental issues, mining, agriculture etc.
We live in a world where technology is moving at such rapid speeds that we are two seconds behind if we blink our eyes. But the question must be posed whether we truly use this technology to its full potential? And how can this technology help all the inhabitants of our world? If we have the ability to quickly and easily analyze large sets of complex data by using GIS, how can this be implemented on all spheres of government and society?
Therefore, this year’s conference is focused on the analysis of spatial issues.
