The recently released GISSA Transformation Report, based on information in the GISSA CRM Database, indicates a society which is diverse and gender representative.

The 42% females and 48% black representatives indicates a society where historically marginalised groups are no longer marginalised. While it is encouraging to see the Gender mix closely represented on Committees there is a need for more Black representatives to serve on GISSA Committees in accordance with their overall numbers within GISSA. This may be attributed to the Black representatives not being released by their workplaces and government departments to undertake volunteer work on GISSA Committees.

Disabilities is an area which is receiving attention within GISSA, with outreaches planned to schools for the Disabled to introduce them to GISc and encourage them to pursue GISc as a Career Choice.
