CV - 18 November 2013

I am a GIS operator with 11 years experience. Experience was gained in a research collaboration unit at the University of KZN. Marine off-shore environs were mapped using acquired, analysed and corrected data. Daily tasks involved working with vector and raster data and included geodatabase management and design. Involvement is data collection was also part of the job. Most recent experience was at BMK Engineering Consultants. Work included CCTV inspection, conditional assessment and GIS mapping of pipeline assets. Also set up and deployed an IT system to collect remotely acquired field data in support of auditing of the Sihlanzimvelo River cleaning project. Output GIS data were analysed and incorporated into a GIS and web based mapping system. Current employment interest is to register for and become a GISc Technologist and study towards a PhD.
